Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, this role provides strategic leadership for recipe control and master data governance to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient production across multiple manufacturing sites. The position safeguards the integrity of core production data—including recipes, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and New Product Introduction (NPI)–related information—while supporting planning and manufacturing activities aligned with organizational goals.
This role leads ongoing data-quality reviews, partners cross‑functionally to drive operational excellence, and serves as a critical resource for resolving supply‑chain and production‑related data challenges. Success in this position requires strong judgment, technical expertise, and the ability to influence across teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end recipe control activities across multiple manufacturing sites, providing primary support to Rochester (~75%) and secondary support to Laval (~25%).
- Lead governance for all production recipes and Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with quality and operational requirements.
- Maintain, update, and validate PI sheets and staging lists to ensure they reflect the most current approved recipe and BOM configurations.
- Act as the gatekeeper for NPI recipe development, activation, and extensions, partnering closely with Master Data Governance (MDG) stakeholders to ensure appropriate controls and approval workflows.
- Facilitate a weekly master data error review, conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions with cross‑functional teams.
- Provide daily oversight, coaching, and operational support to materials and supply planning resources to ensure accurate master data and alignment with production schedules.
- Participate in cross‑functional initiatives that strengthen operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and compliance standards across master‑data and production‑related processes.
- Serve as a technical subject‑matter expert for supply chain and production data issues, inquiries, and discrepancies.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support evolving business needs.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent work experience utilizing SAP in a production/manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of experience in a food, chemical, or fermentation manufacturing environment (5+ years preferred).
- Working knowledge of SAP, with experience managing production and/or master data.
- Demonstrated understanding of continuous improvement principles.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methodologies and their application in operations.
- French language fluency preferred.
Compensation Data
The pay range for this position is $63,600 - $116,000 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
