We are currently looking for Supply Chain Specialists for our newly established Planning Services Centre in Oleśnica near Wrocław.  The Planning Services Centre in Oleśnica is a newly established hub designed to streamline and enhance our supply chain operations across Europe. The Planning Services Centre serves as the central point for all supply chain planning activities, including Transport Planning, Material Planning, and Supply Planning- Master Production Scheduling.

About the role

 

The Transport Planner is responsible for transport planning within the supply chain function at a centralised level. This role involves close collaboration with the Central Transport Planning Manager, Material Planning Team, Supply Planning Team, External Freight Partners, Customers, and cross‑functional operations teams for the plants in scope of the centralised team. The Transport Planner ensures that MCO actions are completed and committed outputs are delivered on time and in full.

Key responsibilities

 

  • Build and foster collaborative relationships with sites, departments, and customers to optimise delivery performance, ensuring products are collected and dispatched on time and in full.

  • Coordinate timely responses to queries from Customers, Customer Care, 3PLs, and Production Operations using the Supply Chain Cockpit Process.

  • Proactively manage bookings for domestic and international routes, allowing sufficient time for coordination with end customers.

  • Maintain and control system master data (e.g., transit times, pallet calculations) to support logistics performance.

  • Update On Time in Full (OTIF) performance reporting and implement corrective actions.

  • Communicate delivery discrepancies as they occur and report potential service failures once identified.

  • Ensure delivery creation and communications to carriers are completed on time, meeting customer specifications and site requirements.

  • Coordinate shipment documentation and freight costing processes to ensure accurate carrier invoicing and prevent delays in customer invoicing.

  • Manage special transport delivery processes while minimising costs.

  • Support management of Customer OTIF failures and contribute to Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA).

  • Assist Supply & Production Planning in cases of missing parts for orders within the production plan release process, including express haulage requests.

  • Manage OpenText Accounts Payable queries, investigate disputes, and oversee approval/denial/request of credits related to freight invoicing.

  • Support management of non‑conformances in SAP, investigate issues, create RCCAs, escalate when required, and close out Delivery Non‑Conformance records.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for transport planning and cost efficiency.

  • Collaborate with the Quality Team on investigations.

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent experience in Transport Planning.

  • Experience: First experience in a Transport Planning role.

  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in Food Ingredients & Flavours or Beverage industry is advantageous but not essential.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred but not mandatory) and Excel required; familiarity with PowerBI is a plus.

  • Languages: Fluent English required. (Polish not required).) Additional languages such as German, French, or Spanish are valued and desirable.
