Our Norwich, NY location is part of our Applied Health and Nutrition Division and one of our specialty sites that creates proteins, lactose, coatings, and flavors. The location lies within Chenango County and is advantageously located within a 50-mile radius of the major cities of Binghamton, Syracuse, Utica, Cooperstown and Oneonta.​

Shift Information: 12 Hr Shift, 5:45AM – 6:15PM on a 2/2/3 rotating schedule. Some holidays and weekends.

What you’ll do:

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll complete preventive maintenance and reactive work orders by inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing production and utility equipment using manuals/prints, following safety procedures, and documenting all work in the CMMS to restore equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

 

Important areas of operations you’ll work on (but are not limited to):

 

  • Complete preventive maintenance and reactive work orders on production and utility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues and document work in the CMMS.
  • Use manuals/prints to support safe, efficient operation (e.g., address leaks and energy waste).
  • Follow safety procedures and use tools/equipment safely (forklift; work at heights as needed).

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • 2–5 years industrial maintenance experience (mechanical and electrical).
  • Able to read manuals/prints; troubleshoot 480V motors/VFDs; document work in a CMMS (SAP or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with piping/fabrication and common plant/process equipment; PLC exposure a plus.
  • Utilities experience (boilers, air, HVAC, water/wastewater, fire protection) helpful; training provided.
  • High school diploma/GED required; associate/technical certification preferred; food & beverage manufacturing experience preferred.

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $43.00 per hour.  Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role.  Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.  Kerry offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, Employee Share Plan, Life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.  This job posting is anticipated to expire on 06/12/2026.
