Shift/Working Hours: M-F 8a-4:30p
Key responsibilities
What will you do?
Analysis of raw materials, intermediate and finished products against identified standards and specifications.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
The job functions include but are not limited to:
1. Analysis of raw materials, intermediates and finished products
2. Accurate, timely, and complete record keeping
3. Timely communication to Production for non-conforming material
4. Special testing as requested
5. Monitoring and replenishing lab consumables
6. Maintenance and calibration of lab instruments
7. Preparation and standardization of lab solutions
8. Oversee development and revision of test procedures
9. Inspection of raw materials documentation
Qualifications and skills
What will you need to be successful?
Education: Associate’s degree required in Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Required Knowledge: Basic understanding of chemistry and analytical methods. Experience in good laboratory practices.
Experience Needed: 3-5 years laboratory experience required. Quality investigation or environmental monitoring experience a plus.
Skills and Abilities: Analytical, decisive, multi-tasked, and goal-oriented individual is required with the ability to manage time and resources.
Compensation Data
The pay range for this position is $30.00 to $37.00 - per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
