Key responsibilities
The Warehouse Lead on the second shift is responsible for supporting the Warehouse Supervisor in coordinating the order staging and loading processes, investigating inventory issues under direction from supervisors, where needed assisting with delivery creation and tendering in emergency scenarios. As a working lead duty will be split as required by the supervisor on shift.
Frontline Support Duties
1. Order Staging and Loading Coordination:
o Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in coordinating the staging and loading of orders.
o Ensure accurate and timely loading of trucks according to schedules.
o Communicate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
2. Truck Driver Check-Ins and Check-Outs:
o Assist with the check-in and check-out process for truck drivers.
o Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
o Address any issues or discrepancies with driver paperwork.
3. Load Preparations and Tracking:
o Collaborate with the offsite logistics team (GBS) to ensure no gaps in staging/ loading opportunities.
o In the event of no availability from off-site support and outside of standard hours, create any emergency shipments.
o Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and processed for direct/ LTL + Shuttles.
Hands-On Warehouse Duties
1. Loading and Picking:
o Participate in the loading and unloading of trucks.
o Assist with picking orders according to company standards and procedures.
o Ensure all products are handled safely and efficiently.
2. General Warehouse Tasks:
o Assisting warehouse supervisor with inventory checks and validation
o Support other warehouse team members as needed.
o Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
o Internal area checks, Quality and safety under schedule and direction from team leadership.
o Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
Qualifications and skills
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Leadership positions.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Previous Proficiencies in using warehouse management systems and software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role.
• Forklift certification.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
• SAP exposure is a preference but not necessary.
• Previous Logistic experience is also preferred.
Working Conditions:
• This position involves standing, walking, and manual labor for extended periods.
• The work environment may be subject to varying temperatures and noise levels.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
Compensation information:
The pay rate for this position is $23.33 per hour. This job posting is anticipated to expire on 3/31/2026.
Note: This role additionally pays 1/hr per hour for Lead pay and a shift differential of .50 cents.
