About the role
The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.
Key responsibilities
- Define and implement strategies to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of quality and food safety management systems, guaranteeing effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
- Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action
- Be a visible, autonomous, and independent leader focused on team development and knowledge transfer.
- Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations
- Coordinate the management system based on FSC 22000 and applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards in Colombia, including prerequisite programs and traceability.
- Manage the complaints and claims system from receipt to closure, ensuring customer satisfaction and leading supplier audits
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering
- 8+ years' relevant work experience
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Advanced English, essential for interaction with global leaders and international audits.
- Experience with quality and food safety management systems (FSC 22000, BRC, NFE, etc.), preferably in the food industry.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, quality circles, or continuous improvement systems.
