About the role
Responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts, analyzing trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support supply chain planning and improve business decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain baseline demand forecasts for third-party customers across multiple levels (SKU, customer, region).
- Generate mid-term (4–12 months) and long-term (12–24 months) forecasts to support commercial and supply planning alignment.
- Analyze historical sales trends, demand variability, and key business drivers to improve forecast accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with regional demand partners, sales, marketing, finance, and supply planning teams to gather inputs and align on forecasts in line with the S&OP cycle.
- Monitor and review forecast vs. actual performance (e.g., M-2 accuracy) and drive continuous improvement actions.
- Apply and refine statistical forecasting models, including manual adjustments where required.
- Conduct root cause analysis and identify opportunities for process, system, or model improvements.
- Prepare and present insights, risks, and opportunities to support S&OP demand reviews and executive discussions.
- Ensure data integrity and system accuracy, including maintaining demand planning systems and cleansing historical sales data.
- Provide portfolio optimization insights, including SKU rationalization opportunities.
- Build effective relationships with regional stakeholders and manufacturing sites, acting as a key point of contact for demand planning activities.
- Support issue resolution, escalation management, reporting, and process documentation (SOPs), while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, or Supply Chain roles.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and S&OP frameworks.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP/APO/AFO, Power BI, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Able to support early working hours (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM) and business continuity requirements when needed.
