About the role

 

The primary focus is managing export bookings, executing and monitoring planned shipments to ensure deliveries meet customer requirements, while also supporting the monthly sales push from Malaysia.

 

Work Location : Pasir Gudang

Key responsibilities

 

  • Run SNR from SAP daily to update and create booking for customer’s orders
  • Manage and expedite export bookings from Malaysia plants for ALL incoterms
  • Internal liaison mainly with Customer Care for booking plan, status, shipping schedules, etc.
  • External liaison mainly with forwarder for booking plan, status, shipping schedules, rates, etc.
  • Release confirmed booking to site to proceed shipment and follow up any issue arised.
  • Checking alternatives shipment option as to support booking requirement.
  • Attend daily plant meeting and ad-hoc meeting online.

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Minimum Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years’ working experience in logistics / shipping / export function.
  • Experience in handling high numbers of shipment booking is required.
  • Good understanding in shipping incoterms.
  • Good command of English.
  • Good working knowledge of ERP and MS Office application skills.
  • Experience in SAP is highly beneficial.

  • Possess strong planning and analytical skills - be able to take complex issues and break down actions for resolutions
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must be able to work to deadlines, which at time can be tight and call for the ability to prioritise
  • A solid communicator who can build strong relations, possesses an open nature and collaborative mind-set, able to work with people across multiple functions to deliver on a common goal
  • Good problem solving and decision-making ability to enhance workflow efficiencies and effectiveness - not afraid to challenge decisions when there are more suitable alternatives or potential pitfalls
  • Extra working hours usually needed especially during month end.
