About the role

Location : Kerry Tampoi
Reports To : Production Manager

Oversee and manage the production department, ensuring operational efficiency, adherence to safety and quality standards, and strategic implementation of company policies and goals.

Key responsibilities

Production Scheduling  

• Lead the development and optimization of production schedules with the Production Manager/Superintendent.
• Ensure maximum productivity, adherence to quality standards, and timely customer deliveries. 

Quality Control  

• Oversee and ensure the Quality Control program is robustly implemented.
• Guarantee the production of high-quality products according to sales orders and maintain customer satisfaction.

Housekeeping and Sanitation  

• Ensure top-notch housekeeping and sanitation in the plant.
• Enforce compliance with food safety standards such as HACCP, cGMP, AIB, HALAL, VET, ISO 14001, ISO 18001, etc.

Shift Scheduling and Manpower Management  

• Manage and oversee shift schedules, including workstation assignments, rotations, breaks, overtime, and coverage for absences.
• Ensure effective staffing for 24/7 plant operations and resolve manpower-related issues.

Environmental, Health, and Safety Standards  

• Maintain and enforce environmental, health, and safety standards in alignment with corporate policies.
• Ensure adherence to standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 18001, RSPO, etc.

Production Reporting  

• Provide accurate and timely production shift reports to the Production Manager.
• Ensure all production documentation and checklists, including CIP checklists and production monitoring sheets, are completed and accurate.

Process Operation and Control  

• Deeply understand and manage production processes and controls.
• Detect and report abnormalities; work closely with maintenance teams to resolve issues.
• Experience with or understanding of spray drying technology is preferred.
• Implement basic process improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and performance.

Continuous Improvement  

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using problem-solving methodologies (e.g., fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys).
• Drive productivity and efficiency enhancements through lean techniques and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Ad-hoc Assignments  

• Complete ad-hoc projects or assignments as directed by the Production Manager.

• Experience on Implement process improvements.

• Proactively identify and address issues.
• Use problem-solving tools and methods (e.g., DMAIC, Six Sigma Green Belt).

Disciplinary Management  

• Manage disciplinary matters professionally and according to company policies.

Project Management  

• Manage production-related projects to ensure timely and successful completion.
