About the role

The Senior FSQ Manager is responsible for leading the Food Safety & Quality function at site level, ensuring full compliance with regulatory, customer, and Kerry standards. This role plays a key part in strengthening food safety culture, driving continuous improvement, and partnering cross‑functionally to support plant and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the Food Safety & Quality function to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, customer requirements, and internal standards.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality and food safety systems (HACCP, GFSI, GMP, allergen management, FSMA).
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness and timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop FSQ teams, building strong technical capability and a robust food safety culture across the site.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality topics, including complaints, investigations, and product quality approvals.
  • Monitor site performance through KPIs, driving improvements in quality, yield, and process control.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain to support new product introductions, process validations, and change management initiatives.
  • Ensure effective execution of risk assessments, traceability exercises, and crisis management activities.

Qualifications and skills

  • Solid experience in Food Safety & Quality leadership roles within a manufacturing environment (food, beverage, ingredients, or similar).
  • BS in Food Chemestry, Chemestry or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards: HACCP, GFSI, FSMA, GMP, allergen management.
  • Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory and customer interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, with clear exposure to people development and capability building.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including root cause analysis and data‑driven decision making.
  • Ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and connect food safety with plant and business priorities.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with multiple priorities.
