About the role

 

In this role, you’ll be the main contact point for farmers, customers, and visitors while ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. Your responsibilities include managing enquiries, coordinating administrative tasks, organising meetings, maintaining accurate records, and supporting compliance activities. You’ll also help with programme administration, oversee milk sample processes, and handle key office duties such as rota coordination and ordering essential supplies. This position suits someone who enjoys variety, works accurately, and thrives in a busy, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

 

  • Serve as the first point of contact for farmers, customers, and visitors—handling calls, managing emails, and welcoming guests.

  • Provide administrative coordination, including filing, data entry, document processing, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Oversee milk sample collection and communicate results to farmers.

  • Organise meetings and events, including booking venues and arranging hospitality.

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies (such as the Department of Agriculture) and manage compliance documentation.

  • Manage office operations, including ordering protective clothing, maintaining Health & Safety folders, and coordinating staff rotas.

  • Support programme administration, including processing statements for the Evolve programme and onboarding new entrants and partnerships.

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Proven experience in an administrative or customer care role, ideally within the agricultural sector.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.

  • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and take on ad‑hoc tasks to help keep day‑to‑day operations running smoothly.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and record management.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • A positive attitude, openness to learning, and a willingness to contribute to team goals.
