Quality Control Technologist

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Technologist to join us at our Carrigaline site on a 12 month contract

As a Quality Control Technologist you will conduct analytical testing in the quality control laboratory.

This is a shift based role week 1 is working Monday - Thursday 08.00 - 16.00 and Friday 08.00 - 16.00 and week 2 would be Monday to Thursday 4pm - 12pm and Friday 4pm - 11pm

Our site in Carragaline manufactures for enzymes and brewing ingredients

What will I be doing?

The successful candidate will be required to conduct analytical testing in the quality control laboratory.

•  Test development /production samples & report results in an efficient & accurate manner, in accordance with internal laboratory procedures.
•  Provide technical support for plant and customer Q.C. requirements.
•  Undertake training on manual and automated assays, as required.
•  Maintenance & calibration of all equipment in the lab as per schedule.
•  Comply with all Health & Safety, Environmental and Regulatory requirements.

What do I need to be successful?

Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a Food or Biopharmaceutical laboratory  

Third Level qualification (Degree in chemistry, science or related discipline preferred)

Good team-working & communication skills.

Self motivator & good organisational skills.

Looking for an energetic person, willing to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Computer literate – Word, Excel, Email.
