About the role

Join Kerry and help us shape the future of food! We’re looking for a Planner/Inventory Supervisor for our Byesville, OH facility who will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate short-term production schedules that ensure timely and complete delivery of customer orders. This role supports accurate inventory, operational efficiency, inventory management, and compliance with quality standards. 

Key responsibilities

 

•  Convert planned orders into process orders, fix and release PO’s, and manage sign-offs in SAP.

•  Develop and communicate daily production schedules to meet demand targets, with Production Manager, Production Supervisors and Plant Leadership.

•  Optimize Sequencing of manufacturing PO orders to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with allergen, Kosher, and cleaning requirements.

•  Review and maintain master data in SAP.

•  Daily planning board updating in SAP per current production delays/running ahead etc.

•  Update and maintain the daily Excel attainment report and distribute each morning.

•  Lead the (2) weekly review (escalation) calls with corporate SC regarding current production status as well as upcoming 3 weeks.

•  Work closely with Production Manager and Production Supervisors on delays and inventory compliance.

•  Perform all end-of-month postings for inventory accuracy in SAP, via cycle counts.

•  Update and manage discard tool for inventory discards, following through until disposals are complete.

Master Data & System Management

•  Manage future production weeks with optimal sequencing and updating.

•  Review PPDS alerts and update profiles in SAP ECC/APO.

•  Maintain accurate ERP data and support data cleansing initiatives.

Inventory & Material Planning

•  Manage safety stock levels, minimum order quantities, and optimal batch sizes for intermediates, finished goods, and raw materials.

•  Regularly post and verify inventory levels, both on a daily, weekly, or as-needed basis, to ensure accuracy.

•  Investigate and resolve any discrepancies found between physical inventory and recorded inventory levels.

•  Ensure that inventory records accurately reflect the physical inventory counts.

•  Perform audits of inventory processes and procedures and prepare reports on inventory discrepancies and trends.

•  Maintaining accurate inventory records, including tracking product locations, quantities, and movement.

•  Contribute to the improvement of inventory management processes and procedures.

•  Identify and resolve inventory-related issues, such as stockouts, shortages, or damage.

•  Oversees Packaging and Warehouse Material Handlers.

•  Ensure Cold Room and Dry Return area are always audit ready.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

•  Work closely with Supply Chain, Production, and Shipping/Receiving teams to align schedules with customer requirements.

•  Participate in medium-term supply planning and ATP/order alignment discussions.

Continuous Improvement

•  Identify and implement process improvements to enhance scheduling efficiency and customer satisfaction.

•  Support plant-wide scheduling initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and skills

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity or a supervisor level position in a food manufacturing company is required

•  Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles.

•  Proficiency in SAP ECC/APO or similar ERP systems is required

•  Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

•  Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.

•  Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.

 

The pay range for this position is $75,602 - $123,432 in Annual Salary.  Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role.  Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.  In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.  Kerry offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, Employee Share Plan, Life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.  This job posting is anticipated to expire on 12/31/2025.
