About the role
As a Process Quality Technologist, you are to strengthen site-wide Food Safety and Quality, ensuring compliance with standards, leading root cause investigations, and driving continuous improvement. It supports timely product release, manages non‑conformances, collaborates with Operations and R&D on new products, and champions a culture where quality is embedded into daily behaviours. The role also executes quality improvement roadmaps to enhance product integrity, efficiency, and overall performance.

Key responsibilities
- Participate in maintaining compliance to food safety management systems, including HACCP, BRC, Halal, Kosher, and customer-specific quality programs. Including inspections and internal audits, validations, training and compliance to sampling schedules.
- Apply root cause analysis tools, and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans to address issues, prevent recurrence, and drive continuous improvement.
- Utilise Statistical Process Control and root cause analysis to enhance product quality and improve Process Capability Index (CpK).
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are implemented, submitting reports and completing actions in a timely manner.
- Support business functions in delivering an exceptional service to customers, with timely product release and technical support as required.
- Champion a culture of excellence by building a site-wide commitment to embedding food safety and quality into daily operations, leadership behaviours, and employee mindset. Lead by example to ensure quality is everyone’s responsibility.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and activities, ensuring careful planning and change management tools are applied.
- Lead non-conformance and customer complaint investigation teams, ensuring root causes are identified, CAPA implemented, and reports issued in a timely manner
- Management of non conforming stock, rework, inspection process, product return and timely disposition.
- Collaborate with Operations and R & D to ensure new product development meet Food Safety and Quality requirements.
- Execute and advance site quality improvement roadmaps, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Drive implementation by leveraging data-driven insights, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and maintaining compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. Lead continuous improvement efforts to optimize product integrity, operational efficiency, and overall quality performance.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a role in food safety and quality assurance within the food industry.
- Proven ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, regulatory interactions, and cross-functional engagement.
- Experience in statistical analysis, process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and unit operations.
- Strong computer skills – Advanced Excel and SAP are desirable.
