Shift Information: 3rd Shift, 10:00PM - 6:30AM

What you’ll do:

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll maintain and troubleshoot plant equipment - diagnosing issues and repairing mechanical (and some electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic) systems to keep production running safely and reliably.

 

Important areas of operations you’ll work on (but are not limited to):

 

• Mechanical power transmission systems (gearboxes, drives, bearings, chains, belts)
• Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment (cylinders, valves, manifolds, vacuum, air prep/lube)
• Process pumps and sanitary piping/valves supporting liquid beverage operations
• Instrumentation and controls (sensors, actuators/positioners, basic PLC/HMI interaction)
• Electrical troubleshooting and motor control (AC/DC, VFDs, 480V 3‑phase)
• Preventive maintenance, safety systems, and reliability improvements

What you’ll need to be successful:

Minimum Qualifications:

 

• 2+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems (pumps, valves, gearboxes, drives, bearings, and sanitary process equipment).
• Working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, including 480V 3‑phase power, motor controls, and electrical protective devices; able to safely use test equipment to diagnose issues.
• Experience with VFDs and basic controls systems (PLC/HMI) for fault finding and start-up/shutdown support; familiarity with calibration concepts is a plus.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills; proficient with hand and power tools; able to read work orders/schematics and follow GMP and safety procedures (lockout/tagout).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Knowledge of electrical safety practices and standards (NFPA 70E) and strong commitment to safe work practices.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and industrial networks; Allen‑Bradley and/or Siemens exposure preferred.
• Machine shop experience—able to measure/machine to tolerance using tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and verniers.
• Welding (including sanitary welding), pipe fitting, soldering/brazing, and rigging/hoisting experience preferred.

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $34.14 - $40.96 per hour.  Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role.  Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.  Kerry offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, Employee Share Plan, Life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.  This job posting is anticipated to expire on 06/12/2026.
