Through the 12-week summer internship program, you will have the opportunity to work and learn in real, impactful roles. The program dates are May 24, 2027 to August 12, 2027.
Potential rotation locations include Clark, NJ; Rome, GA; Manitowoc, WI; Jackson, TN; Sturtevant, WI; Rochester, MN; and Rothschild, WI.
HSE Overview
This position reports to the HSE Manager and carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. The HSE Specialist is fundamental to our team. You’ll coordinate the implementation of Kerry’s HSE Safety policies and HSE plans and ensure the company is compliant with legislation and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
What you'll do
- Monitor and support the HSE Management System and provide advice and assistance to the HSE manager to reduce site HSE risk.
- Support, implement and/or maintain specific North American HSE programs and projects.
- Develop and implement safety initiatives to continually improve safety performance and objectives.
- Support the assigned sites environmental/sustainability efforts including both achieving Zero Waste to Landfill and ISO 14001 certification.
- Provide assistance to the site with: HSE policy development; HSE inspections & audits; employee engagement at all levels; delivering HSE training; and leading HSE incident investigations.

Qualifications and Skills
What you'll need to be successful
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in a health, safety or environment related field with an expected graduation date between December 2027 – May 2028
- Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively to all levels of an organization
- Computer, planning, and problem-solving skills
- A curious mindset
Compensation Data
