About the role

 

•    Work Location:     Batangas, Philippines
•    Reporting To:        QA Supervisor
•    Working Hours:     2 Shifts, 6am – 6pm / 6pm – 6am


As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products/services meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Your main field of activity will be quality systems across all sites in line with Kerry Group and Regional guidelines as directed by Regional Manager.

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Standardize Quality Systems across all sites in line with Kerry Group and Regional guidelines as directed by Regional Manager.
  • Develop and implement new Quality Certification programs
  • Optimize existing Quality Systems in line with site, Manufacturing and Quality Team
  • Coordinate with Department Heads to ensure Quality System requirements are adhered to guarantee product food safe and quality
  • Liaise and maintain good relations with visiting customers, auditors, technical organizations and relevant government agencies
  • Conducts relevant trainings on Quality & Food Safety topics
  • Conducts Procedural Audits to ensure these are adhered to or needs to optimize to further
  • Ensure the causes of non-conforming products & customer complaints are investigated and procedures for non-recurrence, detection and elimination of incidents are implemented
  • Conducts Internal Audits and ensure timely resolution of audit action requests to facilitate close outs

 

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Chemical Technician or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality assurance or laboratory experience (preferably with microbial testing background). Experience in the food industry or related sectors would be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Physico-chemical testing skills.
  • License Chemist/Chemical Technician is preferable.
