About the role
Reporting to the Quality Lead, you will be responsible for the overall Quality Assurance function. You should also have strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Hygiene and Sanitation, Food Safety and Legislative Compliance, as well as Thai FDA and HALAL registration requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and overview all quality control and quality assurance function from end-to-end process.
- Maintain Quality Management Systems and HACCP system adhering to Kerry manufacturing standards, Food safety & Quality system standards i.e. GHP, HACCP, BRC, SQMS, ISO 17025 and to ensure customer requirements fully complied.
- Lead investigation of non-conformance, deviation, customer complaints and ensure the corrective/ preventive action effectively in place.
- Review and report KPIs to management on weekly/ monthly basis, analyse trends, investigate any KPI failure and develop & implement corrective actions.
- Maintain ISO17025 accreditation for microbiological laboratory and lead environmental monitoring program (EMP) implementation.
- Support team for Thai FDA registration / HALAL registration.
- Active participate in preparation and organising site for all audits ensuring resolution of previous actions through cross-function teams.
- Communicate and promote awareness on GHP/ IPM to all staff and management.
- Participate, guide and co-ordinate with all related department to achieve the best hygiene/ sanitation practices.
- Manage and support Customer requests such as questionnaires, requests for technical data etc.
Establish and encourage the effective department training programmes and act as a Coaching Manager in developing talent in the QA department. - Lead, monitor and motivate team performance and develop their skills & knowledge.
- Manage and support annual training program related to Quality / Food Safety / legislation
- Establish and implement Global / APMEA initiatives, projects, continuous improvement and strategies.
- Act as contact point for external and internal communication including regular customer meeting.
- Continuously participate/ seek opportunities on cost savings without affecting quality of analysis.
- Additional responsibility per superior assignment.
Qualifications and skills
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, or related field
- Minimum 10 years’ Food industry experience - working knowledge of Food Safety and Legislation essential.
- Experienced in Analytical Laboratory Testing – a Microbiology background is very advantageous
- Expertise and strong experience in Quality Assurance & Quality Management System and Food Safety System.
- Knowledge and experience in ISO 17025 & environmental monitoring program (EMP)
- Knowledgeable and intensive experience in auditing
- Experience in Vendor assurance programme / vendor auditing
- Knowledge and experience in pest management
- Good communication skills in English (oral and written)
