About the role
The Quality Assurance Technician will be required to support the quality team in implementing quality and food safety policies and procedures. The Quality Technician works closely with production to ensure raw materials and finished goods meet customer and regulatory requirements.

- Location: Auckland
Key responsibilities
- Perform raw material, in‑process, environmental, and finished product testing, ensuring timely release in line with specifications
- Execute and maintain the Environmental Monitoring Program, site hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Conduct process, verification, QCP, and CCP checks, including CCP validations, to support robust food safety controls
- Support shelf-life studies and extensions, including coordination of testing and data reviewAssist in maintaining and improving HACCP, QMS, risk assessment systems, and site food safety programsLiaise with external laboratories to manage testing, results, and follow-ups
- Manage finished goods holds and release processes, ensuring compliance and traceability
- Maintain and continuously improve quality systems and documentation to meet Kerry Global QMS, food safety, and GFSI requirements
- Support document control, including creation, updating, and maintenance of SOPs and work instructions to enable effective training and compliance
- Provide Intelex and SAP Quality system support and data accuracy
- Participate in and support internal and external audits, including audit readiness and follow-up actions
- Lead and close out internal non‑conformances, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Manage QA consumables stocktake and ordering to support daily operationsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across quality and site performance
- Undertake other QA‑related duties as required to support site objectives
Qualifications and skills
- Ideally a Degree in Food Science/Technology or a related discipline
- Working knowledge of HACCP, quality and food safety
- Understanding of quality and food safety standards e.g. BRC, ISO 22000, FSSC, GMP
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ideally SAP knowledge
- Windows-based computer skills
