About the role

The Enzymatic Technologist will support the technical development of enzymatic products that deliver innovative solutions according to specific market needs. This role is responsible for characterizing enzymatic activities through biochemical assays and evaluating their performance in relevant industrial applications. The technologist will work closely with RD&A teams to support timely project execution and technology transfers. 

Key responsibilities

  • Design and conduct laboratory‑level experiments for the development and/or evaluation of enzyme‑based technologies.
  • Operate laboratory equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Define and set up equipment and test arrangements according to the trials required.
  • Perform enzymatic assays for product and process characterization.
  • Document all experimental procedures and results, ensuring complete and accurate updates of records.
  • Prepare technical reports to support timely RD&A project delivery and technology transfer activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, procedures, quality standards, and company policies.

Qualifications and skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Food Science, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of laboratory or technical experience.
  • English intermediate - advanced
  • Experience with biochemical or enzymatic assays (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Excel or other data‑processing/visualization tools.
  • Ability to operate laboratory equipment; troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Experience working with enzymes (preferred).
