About the role

The Demand Planning Specialist supports the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by developing accurate, insight-driven demand forecasts across multiple time horizons. This role is responsible for generating statistical baseline forecasts, translating data into clear and actionable insights, and partnering closely with Demand Partners to enable effective decision-making. The position ensures forecast accuracy, data integrity, and continuous improvement of forecasting models to support supply planning and portfolio optimization.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver 3rd Party Customer Demand baseline forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation.
  • Produce mid-term demand forecasts (4–12 months) to support engagement with Channel and Sub-Region Sales Leads.
  • Generate long-term forecasts (12–24 months) and EUM roll-ups for communication to EUM Leads.
  • Select, adjust, and execute statistical forecasting models, including manual runs where required.
  • Review historical sales trends, analyze demand drivers, and evaluate forecast performance.
  • Collaborate with Demand Partners and regional stakeholders to ensure forecasts are accurate, timely, and aligned with the S&OP calendar.
  • Identify products and customers requiring additional Commercial input and proactively inform Demand Partners.
  • Review forecast vs. actual sales, forecast accuracy, and bias, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Support root cause analysis and identify opportunities for forecasting algorithm enhancements.
  • Capture, document, and publish insights and opportunities for review by Demand Partners and regional teams.
  • Cleanse and maintain sales history, including LTOs and product alignment.
  • Update system forecasts (including CVC and satellite systems) and release to supply network planning.
  • Prepare data and materials for consensus conversations, demand reviews, and executive S&OP meetings.
  • Generate portfolio optimization insights, identifying SKUs for rationalization or optimization for portfolio review forums.
  • Create Power BI dashboards and visual insights to support decision-making and prioritization.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Chain, or Analytics roles.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical forecasting models and demand planning principles.
  • Experience working within S&OP processes.
  • Advanced data analysis skills with the ability to translate data into clear, consumable insights.
  • Proficiency with Power BI and forecasting or ERP systems.Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Advanced English proficiency required.
  • Experience using AI-enabled or advanced analytics tools is an advantage.
