About the role
This role is an 18 month contract for maternity cover.
As an advocate for the customer and business we manage risk and identify opportunities to provide advantage for Kerry T&N and our customers. We are committed to full compliance and customer care by providing strong governance and excellent customer support by managing accurate data and systems and by providing best in class expert regulatory and scientific knowledge and advice.
Key responsibilities
- Business partnering & strategy focus in a specific EUM/Technology to support delivery of our business strategy & growth plans. Support the embedding of the new regulatory operating model and support our GBS fulfilment colleagues on Customer queries
- Commercialising compliant NPI products.
- Proactive Customer engagement for priority customers. Support the participation in trade association activities where applicable, to proactively engage on policy discussions, understand new regulation to enable the business to have a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
- Completion of key strategic customers documentation to be retained in region according to EUM strategic plans
- Innovation & Ideation
- Participate as a proactive partner as a team member of project/development teams and provide regulatory expertise and advisement on ingredients (are they approved for use in application), on claims, and certifications throughout the development team process. Provide regulatory information for new development and innovation. Provide regulatory interpretation and regulatory advice to internal stakeholders and Customers. Support market clearance activities.
- Internal stakeholders
- Manage emerging issues & first escalations, be the point of contact to internal stakeholders as required.
- RSA and GBS work closely together to provide a seamless, fast, and consistent response to request. EUM managers in RSA and GBS have regular meetings for customer needs
- GBS is incorporated into appropriate regional all-staff meetings to stay informed of RSA and updates to business will be provided as needed through interactions outlined in deliverables
- Be the in region support for your colleagues in GBS ensuring that the GBS team are invited to relevant meetings and are kept informed of relevant in region updates that may have an impact on their role
- Training and onboarding partner of Regulatory colleagues & other functions as required
- Commercialisations & Labelling
- Reviews the commercialisation process, for all relevant labelling and NFP formatting compliance. Performs same comprehensive review and approvals required for formula changes through Kerry Tracks.
- Customer/ external engagement
- Working closely with the senior R&SA scientist to ensure they are up to date with the latest development of relevant industry regulations and regulatory trends across the region and share with relevant stakeholders.
- Support the participation in trade association were applicable
- Proactively business partnering with EUM on specific customer opportunities, strategic customer engagements including customer presentations
- Crisis Management & Plant Support were applicable
- Prepares external certification requests as outlined at project brief and leads the cross-functional substantiation and documentation of all claims in accordance with current country regulations.
- Completion of key strategic customer documentation that are retained under Regional remit, according to EUM strategic plans
Qualifications and skills
- Relevant degree in a Scientific/Technical field
- 1-5 years' relevant experience in regulatory affairs or QA
- Ideally experience in the Food and Beverage industry
- Able to work accurately and quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work on your own initiative and pay attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility & Agility to meet business requirements
