We’re looking for a Senior RD&A Technologist to join our Enzymes team in Naas and play a key role in advancing enzyme technologies across multiple end user markets. Enzymes play a leading role in providing better nutrition and better more efficient, cost-effective processes for our customers.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize, develop and shape an enzyme portfolio focussed on revolutionizing the future of the food and beverage industry – leveraging the world leading biotechnological capabilities at Kerry.
As part of a high performance Enzyme Applications Team, based at our Kerry Global Technology & Innovation centre, you will work at the forefront of innovation — driving research and development, crafting smart experimental designs & enzyme analytical assessments, optimising finished product formulations, and uncovering insights that shape the future of our product portfolio. Your work will help transform bold ideas into real‑world, enzyme‑powered solutions that make it to market
Key responsibilities
- Support in the development and delivery of next‑generation enzyme technologies to market as well as the optimisation of existing portfolio to deliver maximum value for our customers.
- Run hands‑on laboratory experiments to evaluate enzyme functionality across multiple End Use Markets, including Animal Nutrition, Human Nutrition, Bakery, Alcoholic & Nutritional Beverage.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional experts in R&D, IP, Regulatory, Quality, and Commercial teams to deliver science‑backed, customer‑focused enzyme solutions.
- Characterise current and future enzyme products, including activity, stability, and kinetic properties.
- Analyse complex datasets, interpret experimental results, and deliver clear technical reports and presentations.
- Design, develop, and validate high‑performance enzyme activity assays across a wide range of substrates, matrices, and conditions.

- Support scale‑up, process transfer, and commercialisation, helping move innovative enzyme technologies from concept to market‑ready products.
- Present scientific findings to internal stakeholders and customers and/or external partners
- Champion safety, quality, and regulatory excellence by ensuring all laboratory work meets the highest operational standards.
Qualifications and skills
- A genuine curiosity and passion for biotechnology, with a drive to shape the future of innovation in the food and beverage industry.
- Comfortable working at speed across multiple projects, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery of results
- An understanding of enzyme functionality and the transformative impact enzymes bring to food, beverage and feed industrial applications & production processes
- Familiarity with enzyme characterisation, including the development, optimisation, and interpretation of enzyme assays and enzyme analytical methodologies
- Ability to analyse complex datasets, extract meaningful insights, and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders
- Laboratory proficiency spanning GLP practices, method validation, and routine use of analytical instrumentation, including spectrophotometry and HPLC.
