Are you passionate about enzyme science and excited by the challenge of developing cutting‑edge nutritional solutions?
We’re looking for a Senior RD&A Technologist to join our Enzymes team in Naas and play a key role in advancing enzyme technologies across human, pet and animal nutrition.
In this role, you will lead and support research, development, and application projects—designing experiments and running enzyme assays, optimising formulations, generating insights, and helping bring innovative enzyme‑based solutions to market.
You will work closely with cross-functional partners in R&D, Regulatory, Quality and Commercial teams to deliver high‑value, science-backed applications for our customers
Key responsibilities
- You will work closely with cross-functional partners in R&D, Regulatory, Quality and Commercial teams to deliver high‑value, science-backed applications for our customers
- Develop, design, and validate enzyme activity assays across a diverse substrates, matrices and conditions.
- Characterise current and future enzyme products, including activity, stability, and kinetic properties.
- Conduct laboratory experiments to assess enzyme performance in multiple End Use Markets (Animal Nutrition, Human Nutrition and Pet).
- Support scale‑up, process transfer and commercialisation of enzyme‑based technologies.
- Analyse complex datasets, interpret experimental results, and deliver clear technical reports and presentations.
- Present scientific findings to internal stakeholders and customers and/or external partners.
- Ensure all laboratory work adheres to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications and skills
- Enzyme Assays: Strong experience designing, executing, and interpreting enzyme activity tests.
- Biotechnology: Understanding of enzyme production, purification, and characterisation.
- Enzymology: Solid foundation in enzyme kinetics, stability, structure–function relationships, and formulation considerations.
- Nutrition Science: Familiarity with human and/or animal nutrition and digestive physiology.
- Laboratory Expertise: Skilled in GLP, method validation, and analytical instrumentation (e.g., spectrophotometry, HPLC).
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyse and model experimental data using statistical tools, including DoE approaches.
- Project Management: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
