Bio-K+ is one of North America’s most clinically validated probiotic brands and is atan inflection point in its growth journey. We are seeking a transformational commercial leader to accelerate Bio-K+’s evolution from a strong regional brand into
a North American category powerhouse.
The VP & Global Commercial Head will own Bio-K+’s commercial strategy andperformance, delivering sustainable double-digit revenue and gross margin growth while building a multi-year platform for accelerated expansion across retail, e-commerce, healthcare practitioner, and emerging channels. This role combines full commercial leadership across sales, marketing, revenuegrowth management, innovation, and strategic planning. The successful candidate will lead a team of 20+ commercial professionals while influencing a broader cross-
functional organization of more than 100 employees across R&D, operations, supply chain, quality, and finance.
The role (and most of the team) is based in Laval, Quebec and requires regular on-site presence from this leader (every week or other week). English fluency is a must
with French as a definite nice-to-have.
Key responsibilities
Deliver Sustainable Growth
- Accountable for achieving consistent double-digit annual revenue and gross
margin growth. - Own the Bio-K+ commercial P&L and growth strategy.
- Develop and execute annual and long-range growth plans.
- Drive profitable growth through a balanced focus on volume, mix, pricing,
innovation, and channel expansion.
Lead National Retail Expansion
- Transform Bio-K+ from a regional brand into a nationally recognized probiotic
leader. - Build and execute a retail expansion strategy across Canada and the United
States.
Secure new distribution and improve penetration within existing accounts. - Strengthen relationships with major retailers, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Develop channel-specific growth strategies across grocery, natural, pharmacy,
club, mass, and e-commerce. - Build Best-in-Class Marketing & Demand Generation
Develop a performance marketing organization focused on maximizing ROAS
and marketing efficiency. - Accelerate consumer awareness and brand consideration through digital, social,
retail, healthcare practitioner, and omnichannel programs.
Revenue Growth Management Excellence
- Lead pricing strategy and execution across all channels.
- Optimize promotional and trade-spend investments to maximize profitability and
return on investment. - Implement advanced revenue growth management capabilities including pricing
architecture, assortment optimization, promotional effectiveness, and retailer
profitability analysis. - Improve gross margin through disciplined commercial execution and portfolio
management.
Drive the Innovation Agenda
- Develop and execute a multi-year innovation pipeline that supports long-term
brand growth. - Ensure innovation investments deliver strong commercial returns and strategic
differentiation. - Partner closely with R&D to identify consumer needs, emerging trends, and
clinically relevant opportunities. - Establish a disciplined innovation governance process focused on ROI, speed,
and execution excellence.
Qualifications and skills
- 15+ years of commercial leadership experience within consumer health,
probiotics, supplements, functional foods, OTC healthcare, wellness, or adjacent
categories. - Proven track record of delivering sustained double-digit revenue and profit
growth. - Demonstrated success scaling consumer brands nationally across North
America. - Deep expertise in retail distribution expansion and category management.Strong experience in DTC, digital marketing, performance marketing, and demand generation.
- Proven success managing pricing strategy, trade spend, and revenue growth
management programs. - Strong innovation leadership experience with a track record of commercializing
successful products. - Experience leading multi-functional teams in complex matrix organizations.
- English proficiency is mandatory. French proficiency is a nice-to-have.
- Based in, or willing to commute regularly to, Laval, Quebec.
The pay range for this position is $215,000 - 353,150 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and Location. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
