About the role

 

This role is remote home office and can be based in any country in Eastern Europe. This person will partner with customers in the Meat Industry to develop innovative concepts and renovate existing products tailored to their specific needs. The position supports the creation of high-quality, customer-focused solutions that align with market trends and technical requirements. This role would require one week per month travelling to Frankfurt.

Key responsibilities

 

  • Support application activities for key projects within the Mainland Europe Meat D&A Team.
  • Prepare samples for various meat applications, including sausages, deli meats, coated products, and meat alternatives.  This implies travelling to Frankfurt every few weeks.
  • Ensure ingredient functionality meets customer requirements in final products.
  • Assist in troubleshooting application challenges in collaboration with customers.
  • Participate in internal training sessions to stay updated on new technologies and unique selling points.
  • Contribute to the rollout of new technologies in partnership with Sales and Marketing teams.

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Entry Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field.
    • 2–3 years of experience in the Meat Industry.
  • Required Experience
    • Hands-on experience with meat processing and pilot plant equipment ideally.
    • Proven ability to assist in developing new meat products, improving existing formulations, and ensuring product consistency.
    • Basic understanding of chemical and microbiological aspects of meat products, with a focus on safety and quality.
    • Knowledge of ingredient functionality and its impact on texture, taste, and product stability.
  • Skills
    • Ability to assist with multiple projects, including timelines and resources.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills with R&D, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams.
    • Basic IT skills.
    • Good communication skills | Self-motivated | Organised.
    • Intermediate English (B1).
