About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Regulatory Scientist to join our team and lead compliance efforts across the beverage and juice categories. This role is critical in ensuring our products meet Organic, Kosher and Halal certifications, Non-GMO Project Verified standards, and country-specific regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional customer service, and adapts quickly to evolving business needs.

What will you do?

  • Regulatory compliance management: oversee and maintain compliance with global, federal, and state regulations for juice-based beverages and refreshing beverages.
  • Support certification processes, including USDA Organic, Kosher, Non-GMO Project Verified, and Halal as needed.
  • Ensure generated product labels meet FDA regulatory requirements, including ingredient declarations, nutrition facts, and that all product claims are substantiated.
  • Partner with R&D, Sales, Quality, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to integrate regulatory requirements into product development and commercialization.
  • Provide timely regulatory guidance to internal teams, external partners and customers with a focus on exceptional service. Prepare required product documentation promptly as requested.
  • Respond quickly to new market opportunities, regulatory changes, and urgent business needs.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry, biochemistry, nutrition, or other related science discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in regulatory affairs with direct experience in beverages, juices, and organic compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Non-GMO Project Verified standards, USDA Organic, Halal, Kosher regulations, and international compliance frameworks. Strong knowledge of claims substantiation and risk assessments of labels and marketing materials.
  • Proven ability to generate NFPs and ingredient declarations and apply labelling regulations using Genesis or other labelling software. Sound understanding of FDA flavour labelling requirements. TTB experience with flavour labelling is a plus. USDA Smart snacks/K-12 knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player, collaborative and positive, with a strong customer service and business mindset; exceptional time management and organizational skills, self-starter with a high level of detail, initiative, assertiveness, and adaptability.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, SAP and Salesforce (preferred), as well as understanding of basic project management principles.
  • Availability to travel up to 10%.

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $63,000 - $103,450 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and location.
