About the role
We are recruiting an "RD&A Senior Scientist" to design and optimize taste solutions for meat products, leveraging consumer preference data and nutritional requirements across diverse product applications.
Work location: Bangpoo, Bangkok, Thailand
Reporting to: RD&A Manager - Taste
Key responsibilities
- Develop and optimize taste systems (seasonings, marinades, flavour blocks) for meat and poultry applications to drive new business growth and defend existing business.
- Conduct bench development, prototyping, sensory screening, and pilot‑scale trials to support product creation - full commercialization process.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Operations, RDA colleagues, and other stakeholders to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
- Drive commercial value by developing cost‑effective formulations that meet customer needs, and lead cost‑optimization initiatives to support PIP (Profit Improvement Programme) targets in collaboration with Regional PIP teams.
- Ensure formulations meet regulatory, quality, and safety requirements for relevant end-use markets.
- Support customer visits, presentations, tastings, and technical discussions to help win new business.
- Manage multiple development projects simultaneously, ensuring clear documentation and timely delivery.
- Contribute to innovation pipelines by identifying new technologies, ingredients, and concepts that drive business growth.
- Share knowledge and collaborate with regional R&D teams to strengthen capabilities and team performance.
Qualifications and skills
- Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Food science, Technology or similar field.
- Preferably a minimum 10 years of experience in R&D in the Food Ingredients, Flavour House or similar industry.
- Strong technical competence in Taste formulations for processed poultry and sausages.
- In-depth understanding of taste creation technologies (types of flavours, taste enhancers, modulators, etc) and strong knowledge of meat applications.
- Good understanding of meat and poultry processing technology and equipment.
- Genuine passion for the food and beverage industry.
